One person is recovering while hundreds are without power after a crash in Kennebunkport early this morning. Police say a driver hit a telephone pole near Whitten Hill and Guinea Rd. Avoid the area as CMP crews work to repair the pole right now.

Police have identified the man killed in a snowmobile accident Friday. Authorities say a Sangerville man died Friday after a snowmobile crash in Corinna. They say Jeffrey Willey Jr., 44, was travelling south along the rail-bed snowmobile trail when he struck a tree and was nearing the end of a 300-mile ride when the incident occurred.

A man from Waterville is accused of giving a deadly dose of fentanyl to a man who died in his home. Sean Rancourt, 33, was held on $100,000 bail. He was arrested Tuesday.

A car rear-ended a school bus in Buxton on Thursday morning, police said. The crash was reported on River Road. No other information was released.

A 6-year old was sent to the hospital after a crash in Garland. It happened on Dover Road at around 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said both drivers were uninjured, but the child was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Several people called 911 Monday night after they heard shots fired in South Portland. Police say a home, a storage shed, and vehicle were damaged from the shots fired which was in the area of Pearl and Elm Street. Police say no one was hurt. They arrived at the scene around 9:30 p.m.

Bucknam said the baby was in critical condition about noon Monday and was later transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where hospital officials would not provide any information about the baby

A woman was found dead inside her burning home in Surry overnight, according to the Fire Marshal's Office. Crews were called to Morgan Bay Road around 11 p.m. Sunday.
