24 HOURS LATER Picking up where we left off yesterday following the hostage situation on Knapp Street in Livermore Falls. Maine State PD here on scene tell this is still an active scene. Unlike yesterday, not as great of police presence, but still some officers
Scene in Livermore Falls this morning following a nearly 24-hour long hostage situation. All hostages have been released, and waiting to hear from police for more info on the suspect.
Massive police presence remains in Livermore Falls as standoff continues with man barricaded in a home after an armed home invasion this morning
Authorities now say an armed suspect has barricaded himself within the home of a hostage crisis at 48 Knapp Street in Livermore Falls. A Maine State Police TAC team was called in to negotiate. Police evacuated several homes and businesses, and local schools.
All students in the Spruce Mountain school district were released from school early due to the crisis. The superintendent put a statement saying, "All students are being dismissed from school immediately in relationship to a crisis situation in Livermore Falls."
Scene of a hostage crisis in Livermore Falls. The police chief tells us they were called here for a reported break-in. He told the Sun Journal one hostage escaped and three others are believed to be zip tied inside a home here on Knapp Street.
